For complex studio and location setups requiring detailed pre-visualization, I utilize Cine Tracer's real-time cinematography simulation platform alongside Blender to create comprehensive 3D mockups. These tools allow me to design and share precise lighting scenarios, camera positions, and set layouts with the Director and Art Department.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What camera packages do you work with, and what would you recommend for our project?
I primarily work with Sony and ARRI camera systems, and I'm also experienced with RED cameras.
Each system has its unique strengths, and I can help determine which camera package will best serve your project's specific needs and budget, whether that's an ARRI 35, Sony VENICE, or RED camera system.
I own several camera packages and have established relationships with rental houses for specialized equipment.
2. How do you collaborate with directors during pre-production and on set?
I maintain clear communication throughout the process. During pre-production, we'll work together on shot lists and visual planning. On set, I focus on efficiently executing our vision while remaining flexible to creative adjustments.
3. How do you handle challenging lighting situations or difficult locations?
I start with thorough location scouting and work closely with my Gaffer on complex lighting setups. We create detailed plans and always have backup solutions ready for any technical or environmental challenges we might face.
4. What is your typical crew structure, and do you have a regular team you work with?
I require a Gaffer for shoots with lighting setups. While I can work without an assistant camera on simple shoots, I need one when working with manual cinema lenses and complex lighting scenarios.
5. How do you stay within budget while maintaining high production value?
I focus on smart resource allocation, prioritizing elements that directly impact image quality. I can scale equipment and crew based on project needs while maintaining professional standards.
6. What is your pre-production process like, and how much prep time do you typically need?
I focus on location scouting, equipment planning, and technical testing. Large projects need 1-2 weeks of prep, while smaller ones typically require a few days.
7. Do you carry full general liability insurance?
Yes, I maintain a $2 million general liability insurance policy.
