Butterfly Life Cycle

Butterfly Life Cycle

A test project exploring Kling’s First and Last Frame to create seamless transformation shots and cinematic transitions.

I created this AI nature trailer to test Kling’s First and Last Frame feature and explore how far transformation effects could be pushed in a realistic cinematic context. The butterfly life cycle became the perfect framework to showcase fluid transitions — from a canopy-level drone shot drifting into the forest floor, to each stage of the butterfly’s development blending naturally into the next.

My goal was to demonstrate how AI can create complex transitional shots that traditionally require heavy VFX, compositing, and controlled macro setups. Using Kling for motion and Nano Banana Pro for detail, I focused on smooth metamorphosis sequences: egg to larva, larva to chrysalis, chrysalis to butterfly.

This project is less about documenting nature and more about showing what AI can do when you combine realistic rendering with advanced transition tools. It’s a proof of concept designed for clients who want cinematic transformation effects without traditional production constraints.
