Purple Paladin Program - Mini Docu Series

Grant Thornton's Purple Paladin program invests, recognizes, and celebrates early-stage nonprofit social entrepreneurs. The firm supports these innovators by providing funding, volunteerism, business guidance and a platform to accelerate their work — helping take emerging nonprofit organizations from startup to unstoppable.

Challenge
Before embarking on the video series, we faced several challenges. Identifying and selecting the most impactful emerging non-profits required extensive research and vetting to ensure authenticity and relevance. Coordinating schedules and gaining the trust of non-profit leaders and beneficiaries demanded sensitivity and persistence. Crafting a compelling narrative that both humanized the subjects and resonated emotionally with viewers necessitated a careful balance of storytelling and factual accuracy, all while maintaining high production values on a limited budget.
Approach
Our approach to the video series centered on humanizing the subjects and fostering an emotional connection with the audience. By focusing on personal stories and the impactful work of emerging non-profits, we aimed to create a narrative that resonates deeply with viewers. Through intimate interviews, compelling visuals, and authentic storytelling, we brought to life the passion and dedication of these organizations, making their missions relatable and inspiring.
Results
1. Enhanced Brand Visibility: Showcasing emerging non-profits can increase the firm's visibility and recognition within the community and beyond.

Not Your Typical Brand Film

Creating a corporate brand film that challenges clichés and standard approaches is not for every client or project. However, we wanted to showcase an example of how poking fun at the typical corporate film tropes—stiff boardroom scenes, buzzword-heavy scripts, and overly polished visuals — can get more engagement than simply doing the same old same old. Our creative team is capable of creating a traditional video but where is the fun in that!
