We wanted to create a colorful moody look for this film and make Ernesto's home studio look more like a commercial studio. We scouted the location and captured test footage that we later used to create a shot list and lighting diagram. This helped us work a lot more efficitently on set and allowed our DP to set up all the lighting we needed to transform the studio lighting into what you see in the final film.
Final Film - Lighting
Bringing in lighting for this shoot dramatically changed the look of the film which you can clearly see in the ref provided. 3 lights were used in total. A blue and magenta light were used for the background along with a candle and one small light was placed in the voice over booth for Ernesto's face as a key light.
