The Goal

For the Olympic Games, Airbnb did something special. They opened up the Chicago home of two-time gold medalist Scottie Pippen and let a few fans book a night there, on his own court and in his own home theater. It's a great idea, but it only lands if people can feel what that stay is really like. Airbnb needed film and photos that made fans want to book it, and we had to capture it all with a celebrity, very little time, and inside his actual home, not a set we could control.

The Solution

We did as much planning as we could ahead of time so we didn't waste any of the little time we had on the day. Once we got there we directed Scottie through it, but kept things relaxed so it never felt like we had taken over his home. Most of the filming happened on his indoor court, the one with his number 33 on the floor, and we shot photos throughout the rest of the house. Airbnb came away with a brand film and a full photo library they used to promote the stay.
