The Goal

Ocean Aid 360 is a global nonprofit doing the amazing work of ocean restoration and cleanup. They work in partnership with local, state, and national governments to organize cleanup days that have a huge impact, but their story wasn't being captured in a way that helped people see what they do. With a large cleanup coming up in Bimini, in partnership with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, they wanted a film that showcased everything that goes into a week-long community cleanup and all the people they impact along the way.

The Solution

We spent the week in Bimini with the Ocean Aid team and filmed the cleanup from the inside, from loading the boats to hauling trash off the beaches, along with the locals who showed up to help and the aerials of the water they're protecting. We directed where it helped but stayed out of the way of the work itself. They came away with a brand film, a full photo library, and a set of social cut-downs that finally show what Ocean Aid does, and give them something that pulls people in and makes them want to be part of it.
