The Goal

Chicago Peace is a nonprofit doing the kind of work that holds a neighborhood together. Every month they run a Serve Saturday event in a different part of the city, feeding people, offering free health screenings, and showing up for the community in person. As one pastor serving alongside them put it, it's not just to feed, but to talk, communicate, fellowship, hugs and smiles. They wanted a film that captured that spirit and helped more people see the work they do.

The Solution

We spent the day at one of their Serve Saturday events, capturing it as it unfolded and directing sit-down interviews with the people who make it happen. We filmed the volunteers unloading food, the health screenings, the tacos, and the faces of everyone who showed up to help and be helped. It came together as a brand film and a photo library that show what Chicago Peace means to a neighborhood, and make you want to be part of it.
